Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of WordEraser (“the app”), a macOS utility published by Mark Studios (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app you agree to these Terms.

1. License grant

Upon purchase ($0.99 USD, one-time) we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use WordEraser on Macs that you own or control. License keys are intentionally not device-bound — you may reuse the same key across your own machines. Please do not share your key publicly or distribute it to others.

2. Free trial

WordEraser includes a 7-day, full-feature free trial. After the trial ends, a valid license key is required to continue using the deletion shortcuts. The app remains installed and stable whether licensed or not.

3. Refund policy

We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund. Email support@markstudios.com from the address you purchased with and we will refund you in full. When a purchase is refunded, the associated license key is considered revoked and the app reverts to its trial/locked state. A refunded or invalid key never crashes the app — it simply stops unlocking the paid shortcuts.

4. No warranty

WordEraser is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every third-party application.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mark Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law, and not to use the app for any unlawful purpose.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Mark Studios’ principal place of business (jurisdiction placeholder: Mark Studios), without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
